How would you describe your vibe?
Casual, affable, and comfortable, with a methodical approach to tasty food and attentive service. We don’t believe in getting too fussy about things, but do love our work and take great pride in what we offer and making sure that you’re having the best experience we can provide.
How can I place an order for takeout?
Takeout orders are available through the widget on our website. In order to ensure the most attentive service for our guests, we do not accept take out orders over the phone. For large orders, we politely ask you to shoot an email to hello@saint-florian.com
Is your space ADA accessible?
Our first floor absolutely is! For guests interested in reserving space with us for a Friday or Saturday evening, please note that bathrooms are located only on the first floor, and we will happily accommodate Dining Room reservations on our first floor to ensure the comfort of our guests and ready access to our facilities. While we do have an elevator, it is loud, slow, and only fits one person at a time, so our only goal is your comfort and the logistical sanity of our operation.
What inspired the name?
The name Saint Florian pays homage to the ownership’s respective pasts – one as a legacy firefighter in the previous iteration of the building, the H.W. Rogers Hose Company, and the other with family roots in Kolno, Poland. Saint Florian is the Patron Saint of both Firefighters and of Poland, and we thought it kismet and the prefect way to represent a touch of our lives in the project.
Is the restaurant pet friendly?
While we can assure you that we are more than friendly to pets in our personal lives (shout out to Paulie, Anthony Bologna Esq., Ginny-Bear, and the Winnie-Bago!), due to State regulations and to preserve the general flow, functionality, and comfort of our space and guests, we do not allow pets of any kind inside of the restaurant. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
What time does the kitchen stop serving food?
Seven nights a week, we close our kitchen and do last call for our bar at 10:45 PM sharp. We will happily pack your food to go if you come in close to the finish line.
Are you available for events at my home or another property?
Absolutely we are! Not only are we fully licensed and experienced for all of your catering needs, but we also have a bevy of cool toys that can make your event a smashing success; from our catering trailer to our whole hog cookers and charcoal grills, we love styling out your event to be personally tailored, professionally executed, and precisely delivered. You can find out more about our catering and on-site event services by reaching out to events@saint-florian.com
What's up with the reservation cancellation fee?
Reserving space at a restaurant is an agreement that there will be a table, service, and food for you, and that you will be showing up. Last minute cancellations not only affect the bottom line of the business, but also impact our ability to staff, prepare, and allocate accordingly. We always maintain our whole first floor for walk-in guests, so if you’re uncertain, please, skip the reservation this time and we promise we will get you a table ASAP. All fees collected are split directly between the house and our service staff to ensure our team is appropriately compensated for their time and efforts and that we can allocate labor to manage any excess of product. Hotels, live entertainment, travel, and numerous other businesses employ this model without the pressures of things which can spoil, so do the right thing, folks. We do understand things happen, and always do our best to extend a courtesy when communicated with surrounding surprise circumstances, and when treated with courtesy in kind.
Why are modifications on menu items limited?
Much like most businesses, restaurant work and designing a menu that is functional is a real labor of love with lots of moving parts and was approached with a thoughtful and efficient ideation. We focus on ensuring that we’re able to produce food in a sustainable, replicable, and safe manner. Certain requests compromise the integrity of a dish to a point we’re not comfortable serving, others might create a situation that would constitute a safety or contamination issue, and some are just simply things we do not offer due to cost, spacial limitations, and seasonal quality (we’re looking at you, tomatoes in January). We worked really hard, and at great expense both in terms of time and money, to offer options for most dietary restrictions that are thoughtful, tasty, and readily available for your dining pleasure.
